I wish I wasn't a girl,
Everything's just a hurl,
Everytime I look in the sky,
I wish you were mine,
But I don't shine.
People say it's just a phase,
But it will always be the same!
When I look in the mirror,
I see something queerer,
I see a boy, not a girl but a boy,
And I can't help but feel joy
When I try to speak my mind
The words get lost, left behind
A whisper in the dark of night
A shadow of the person I want to be in the light
My mother used to say 'Don't be so serious, you're just 14! '
So I used to fill her dresses with gasoline,
And she would reprimand me,
Oh, how I wish people would understand,
But I'll forever be damned
