Girls Poem by sierra lewis

Girls

At night she lays there,
thinking about how he touched her,
and how he made her feel so gross,
and how she hates herself the most,
cause she couldn't push him away,
and she was so shocked she could find words to say,
she was scared and couldn't scream,
he made her feel as filthy as could be,
she tried to tell but nobody was hearing it,
she tried to forget but her mind wasn't letting it,
now she wished she could die and forget that nightmare,
but every attempt failed and its becoming quite clear,
she was put on this earth to be tortured and alone,
feeling lost and so very cold to the bone,
she keeps to herself,
trusts nobody else,
swears she'll never love again,
all because of what he did,
so watch your daughters and watch the men,
so that this will never happen again,
if you feel that this is a lesson needed learned,
take this and share this and never forget that you heard,
this from a voice for all the girls who ever had this happen to them,
who now wish it wouldn't happen again,
so speak up and speak clear,
there's no reason for girls to fear,
every guy that they should meet,
just watch each others backs and don't get beat,
by something you could have prevented,
so that is why i sit here venting,
to speak up for girls all over the world,
look around and watch their backs like a good person should.
