Gismo (The Cat) Poem by Peter Morriss

Gismo (The Cat)

Rating: 2.5

I am one named Gismo,
My ancestors are sacred
and holy;
It was they who dwelt in
the sacred temple of Lao Tsun. My eyes are sapphire as those
of the Goddess Tsun Kyan;
I and the Earth are in harmony,
Upon which I tread with purity. Through the mountains of time
we have walked the city of
a Thousand Temples;
For we are the chosen ones,
And are sacred to this land
of our forefathers.
