This is absolutely stunning. The realness of a person's last wish not to die, but to be alive, so her family doesn't cry or have the fears of the dying person's soul, just grabs at the heartstrings and pulls them until we cry. This is such a sad poem, full of reproach and the actual fear of dying. But if we believe in our Lord Jesus, then we need not fear the loss of physical life, because our soul lives on in Him.
