Lord, give this warrior strength to follow your call
Give him wait he needs to follow your commands, each and all
Sometimes he feels weighed down by the weight of the world
His emotions inside seem to get all jumbled and swirled
Father, he needs you to give him rest
To be with him and give him strength to pass the test
This world is rough and the battle goes on
You're the one he trusts in to help him see the dawn
But as he fights he struggles to stand
So please reach down, lend him your hand
Father, shelter your child in your loving arms
Give him peace, protect him from harm
