Given Poem by Lucas Akkadian

Given

Lay me down where we feared to tread.
I know you heard every word I said.
Whispers scream in a memory,
ever as dear as ever dear.

This blood stained shirt;
the red spot on my chest
is only an obscured fable
Like saying we'd never
get too close.
