Giving Up Poem by David Riecke

Giving Up

Only time will tell, and fate will see,
what comes around, and is meant to be.
Dreams go up, in fiery ashes,
past no more, except minor flashes.

Minor glimpses, of what could have been,
fading away, their lost again.
Gripping to hope, foolishness,
blurred vision, selfishness.

Moving forward, a tough choice,
stopping to hear, your stupid voice.
Shrugging it off, again and again,
Eventually, it will be my end.

Friends come, and they go.
True ones stand, by your side.
Bad ones go, at your low.
It never changes, brain is fried.

This poem has, no emotion.
It will cause, a lot of commotion.
I dont care, kiss my behind.
I just write, whats on my mind...

People say, they will change,
disassemble, rearrange.
Twisted hopes, shattered dreams,
no matter what, the sun still gleams.

Rising up, speaking out,
Thats what this, is all about.
Silent no more, voice is found,
my reason to quit, see ya around......
