Glasgow From Above Poem by Otis B. Kruah

Glasgow From Above

Catching sight of the gleaming in the night
Time flashes of stars alluring and bright
Lying under this smashing canopy of love,
Paul Bailey says Glasgow is the site

Like King Nebuchadnezzar gazed at delight,
The smiling faces I imagine on this flight
Watching the graceful sky dance from above
Especially Paul who kept awake in the night

On this adventurous ride, I too had my invite
O fate has left me only these verses to recite
Yes Glasgow! Your beauty appeals with love
And this beaming from afar, Bailey was right

Scepters and crowns find this genial space
Sweet Glasgow: the Dear Green Place
