Glass River Poem by Binoy Barman

Glass River

Rating: 3.0

Pieces of glass glitter on youthful waves
Scales of silvery Hilsha
Blind fishes swim helter-skelter
Kites vision sticks to opportunist politics
Where's the end of river and
Where's the beginning of sea?
How fuzzy the border of joy and sorrow
The distance between you and me!
The sun in yellow coat frowns at the fluttering sky
Horses unbridled gallop down the water-meadow
And their drum of hooves wakes the slumbering mermaids.
Who's brushed in east a green landscape
Manpura, I dreamt you, a blissful shadowy shape.
