Global Societal Collapse?
The quiet wisdom fades away,
As shouting fools command the day.
When lazy hands reap all the grain,
And workers labor just in vain.
When liars wear a golden crown,
And honest souls are pushed back down.
When hollow hearts preach what is right,
And hide their shadows from the light.
When surface fame outshines the soul,
And vanity becomes the goal.
When little ones are forced to grow,
Before they learn what they should know.
When justice turns to shield the wrong,
And leaves the victim's plaintive song.
When madness wears a common mask,
And truth becomes a forgotten task.
When leaders feed upon the fold,
Instead of guarding young and old
Then foundations crack and spirits gray,
This is how the world decays.
