It is unique and captivating
This mountain is so exciting
It’s a beautiful scenic drive
You will find it incredibly inviting

It’s as though you are transported
To a different kind of world
It’s like a painted desert
The colors seem to dance and swirl

The mountain glistens and sparkles
As it shines down from above
You’ll find it rather startling
It’s a place that you will love

Gypsum and selenite gives the mesas
That perfectly wonderful glow
Once you get a glimpse of it, folks
It will be a special place to go

And there are so many things
That you can do and see there
I hope you take the journey soon
