Go Forth And Multiply Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Go Forth And Multiply

We need to proclaim salvation
Mercy intends from above
At home, country, each nation
Echo Life's voice of love

Are Christians not called for service?
Spreading Christ's gospel wide
But shy, comfortable, nervous
Billions! remain, outside

Ignorant, as the day first born
Crying for self desire
Indifferent to True Life's dawn
To rescue, from hell's fire

Has your neighbour next door heard you?
Where employed, has someone, heard?
Is life's commission such an issue
Others would think absurd?

God bless the day, when came to me!
Ere, I could understand
A total stranger set me free
Through Jesus outstretched hand

Since then, sitting at Jesus feet
Decoding Satan's lies
Revelations dawning concrete
Caused me to recognize

The diverse callings of Jesus
The heights the lengths to go
Not bestowed always to please us
But others need to know

Christ chose to die for a reason
Rising for man to see
When taught, weathered, in season
Love's grace sends you and me.....
