God Alone Poem by Michael P. Johnson

God Alone

Ever sat pondering feeling alone
That God alone was there
The Lord Himself was on His own
With nothing anywhere

With nought existing here nor there
Able Himself to see
Never something ever He'd share
Until He thought to be

God almighty, lonesome standing
Omnipotent supreme
Never before commanding
Before creation's dream

Consider a while what God there
Would cause His first idea
Something from nothing anywhere
To suddenly appear

With solitude's end impending
No more to be alone
With angelic beings attending
Heaven became His throne

Eventually was formed the plan
How fellowship would thrive
So like Himself He'd form a man
With Him to be alive

Created out of darkest gloom
The Universe first stood
Then earth, for man to dwell and bloom
Living the way he should

But as we walk and live today
God being rejected
All on earth He'll burn away
Except His elected.....
