God And I Poem by Abhay Shah

Once I met a friend whom I didn't really know;
He came to me and whispered 'Come let's go! ! '

I was afraid and didn't know what to do,
And a voice within me said 'Don't worry, I am there with you....'

He held my hand and started to fly,
We stood in front of a huge door in the sky.

I had reached heaven and it was God who was with me,
How lucky I was to have a friend like thee.

And as I was about to enter the door,
I heard a voice chanting my name.
I felt as if someone was pulling me back,
and it was my mom who was so angry as she came.

Suddenly, I woke up and looked around,
There was no heaven but the same old ground.

Though it was just a dream,
It was a pleasure to have a friend like him.
