God Billboard Poem by Saiom Shriver

God Billboard

A vision of a billboard advertising
God in a front yard.. Pondering
the message, it seemed the
sign was inappropriate, in bad taste.
Spirit is subtle, invisible.
Bees come when the flowers bloom.
'When the student is ready, the
teacher appears'.
It operates not through
forced
interaction
nor commercial transaction
but by the law of
divine attraction.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Not meant as a criticism of
the series of billboards with one line messages
such as the one in the picture.

The quote is a line from the Bhagavad Gita. Ram Dass is one of many who have written of blooms attracting bees.
