God Gave Us A Brain Poem by Marilyn Lott

I believe God gave us a brain
And He expected us to use it
To think about common sense
And never ever abuse it.

It must be such a sad thing
Folks killing and hurting
Hatred flaming everywhere
God must be forever worrying.

I wonder if He ever wishes
He hadn't even created us
I think I would if I were Him
I'd wonder about all the fuss.

Maybe He could alter His plan
Perhaps tweak here and there
Redesign the human race
Create us to empathize and care.
