God Hiccuped Poem by Bryan Riley

God Hiccuped

God hiccuped, and
a universe was born.

When i was just a
boy, I was already
as old as autumn;
my laughter disguised
the sorrow I bore
at the state of the
world's affairs.
Now, stepping
towards the
threshold of the
true autumn of
my life, I am
merely satisfied
to scratch my
mark upon the
cave wall for
anyone to find-

When God paused
to take a breath, the
universe imploded
