God Of The Living Poem by Parker Perrella

God Of The Living

My God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
My God speaks-
He listens.
My God reigns-
He glistens.
My God has all authority-
He will not be shaken.
He does not tolerate
The faker or the fakin'.
My God is faithful-
He is patient and kind.
My God is just-
He will never change his mind.
My God is the one and only-
He is the Great I Am.
My God is able-
He gives me strength to say, "I can."
My God is here-
He dwells inside me.
My God is near-
He says to His children, "Come, confide in me."
I believe in my God-
Not of the dead, but of the living.
