God’s Coming (2) - Poem by Michael P. Johnson

No pity will The Lord decide
No quarter will be shown
Together with The Saviour’s bride
God’s Dove will soon have flown

Today! Today we need to turn
Away from death and hell
Let Truth become our sole concern
Through He who died to tell

Casting aside what liars preach
Spew out all man’s absurd
Refuse to eat what fools will teach
Not found within God’s word

Everything has a time my friend
Even the coming fight
Be patient till the bitter end
With righteousness in sight

Yet if Christ is not inside you
God’s Truth lives not within
Where else you may choose to run to
Nothing can help you win

The Promises of God are true
His living Christ is real
Let wisdom yet console you
Receive Salvation’s Seal

God knows your heart He sees your soul
His love is ever sure
Allow His Lamb make quick and whole
Accept what will endure

Decide my friend its growing late
Reach out for Jesus’ hand
Tomorrow could be minutes late
To dwell God’s Promised Land………
