God's Gift And A Fool Poem by Pritisha Sardesai

God's Gift And A Fool

All wrapped in your shell
Of leather and steel
Your invincible armor
Or so it might feel
Pass on the right
Speed as you go
Blow by the light
Save a minute or so.

Is that your child
Smiling at the backseat?
Is your time so important
You destination so sweet?
Plastic, blood, leather and steel
Your armor is flawed
Your shell is not real

Keep this in mind
When you sit at the wheel
Cars can be fixed
But death can't be healed.
