The Love of God
The love of God, because of this our sins are no more
Because of this great love, all our sins He bore
Tis this sincere love that gave us the breath of life
Though the fiend be crafty, God had before time
Prepared for us for His sake, His divine bread of life
T'was this love that called down Noah's torrents
T'was this love that calmed down the insane waters
And promised life and abundance forever more
Twas this ardent love for man that led Israel to Egypt
And same Love I repeat that made Egypt this people spit
For the sake of God, the Egyptians were swallowed up
And for the sake of God, Israel passed on land dried up
It is this unchanging love that made God send His Angels
His chosen ones the prophets to decree His Oracles
And the great love of God to all humanity demonstrated
Which was which is and which will always be till no end
All the earth is embedded deep in the palm of His hand
The Lord, He is the living God, the balm of this world
Some trust in magic some in gods but my God is my Wand
Your love has left me crippled, for by your side, I long to be
Forever, at your feet I want to dwell, I can't fear a bee
Or a nettle's sting cannot from you make me flee
For I know even in my grave you will n'er say let him be
For you have promised to love me forever
Only I continue to love you forever
To live and to love forever
In your love I am returned
