God Seeks A Way To Save(1) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

God Seeks A Way To Save(1)

The world denies God’s Son’s alive
Her wayward ways increase
Whilst all the while her children thrive
And richly live in peace

But though He’s love, The Lord is true
He’s faithful and He’s just
He knows the payment man is due
Before he turns to dust

Although to dust all flesh must turn
We all must meet the grave
Yet still this truth we need to learn
God seeks a way to save

To let Salvation plant His Seed
For Christ to come to rule
We must dig up the devil’s weed
And cease to play the fool

For us to flee from certain hell
We must be pure of heart
So truth to serve Salvation well
May need to tear apart

When truth exposes right from wrong
When Light reveals each fault
Repenting of our sinful song
God seasons us with salt

It hurts to change by light of day
When facts we first discern
When shadows slink and fade away
When fire begins to burn

The truth of God can set us free
Can raise us from the dead
Can bring one’s self to bend its knee
And pride bow deep it’s head PTO.
