God Won't Be Mocked Poem by Michael P. Johnson

God Won't Be Mocked

Rating: 4.0

Does humility, make you proud?
Your righteousness, untrue?
Concealing secrets not allowed?
With Heaven watching you

All of us fail, we all, fall short
Though God, The Lord, can see
Hoping, always each day's report
Is nailed on Calvary's Tree

God won't be mocked, nor ridiculed
Knows man's heart mind and soul
Those thinking Heaven, they have fooled
Could fail life's vital goal

But praise The Lord, for Jesus Christ
As man! God walked on earth
For all our sin was sacrificed
Sinners may earn new birth

Through one's faith! and not by power
In spirit, truth and love
Believing Jesus, Life's Tower
Will bring us safe above

Would you should I, still play the clown?
Building houses on sand?
Lifting up self, pulling Christ down
Thinking he'll understand

We're only human, after all
Full faults, failings, and flaws
But only fools, will willingly fall
Knowing they'll close Life's Doors

Let a child of God, wisely tell
The Truth will set you free
Deceivers, liars, end in hell
God said, so! will it be.....
