Gone Poem by Paul McAnaney

Gone

Rating: 5.0

With the frailty of reality a life lost
snaps back to haunt me like a Shakespearean tragedy.
Haunted by what could have been,
By what should possibly should have been,
For you were never to have been seen!
Forever now to be a reminder of my weaknesses
A weakness that now haunts my dreams
Turning my greatest fantasies into a nightmarish reality.
