Gone But Not Forgotten Poem by Kevin Figueroa

Gone But Not Forgotten

The leaves have fallen and the wind does blow,
A chill in the air and the night is slow,
Memories linger of days long past,
Of laughter and love that forever will last.

The sky is grey and the rain does pour,
A reminder of what was and what is no more,
The emptiness echoes through the hall,
Of a love that once was, now forever fall.

The flowers have withered, their beauty decayed,
A symbol of life now so fleeting and frayed,
But in our hearts, they forever will bloom,
In the memories of a love that once loomed.

The night is long and the tears do flow,
For a love that once was and will never know,
Gone but not forgotten, forever in our hearts,
Until we are reunited and never again to part.
