Gone The Glory Poem by njiri wambui

Gone The Glory

Flower petals lay dry on the ground
Waiting...not in any way found
Once full, radiant and in awe of the blossom
They were, yes
Fully shining for the world to see

Two grapefruits hang limply at the tree
With one cut, almost in two
Looking like three
The juice in them sucked out, like life in a corpse

All this in line with the world of love...
