Gone With A Smile Poem by Shirley Harrison

Gone With A Smile

I'm a song writer lost

within my own life lyrics

every time I try to write

I hear inside my mind all the critics

I don't want to fail

life's dream in my hands

I don't want to fail

my soul and spirit is my band

maybe one day I'll shine?

maybe one day I'll be noticed?

until that day comes

got to keep myself focused

I don't want to fail

life's dream in my hands

I don't want to fail

my soul and spirit is my band

when day turns to night

paper ripped on floor

the waste paper basket

it won't need no more

I don't want to fail

life's dream in my hands

I don't want to fail

my soul and spirit is my band

I'll never give up

I'll fight till the end

my song will be written

and my mind then will rest

I don't want to fail

life's dream in my hands

I don't want to fail

my soul and spirit is my band

If you listening to this

my soul and spirit has won

since the day I was born

my journey begun

I'm a song writer lost

but now I am found

from the ashes I rose

to fulfill my life's plan

so listen to my story

listen to my song

listen to my spirit

one day I'll be gone

one day I'll be gone

with a smile

with a smile

one day I'll be gone

I'll be gone with a smile.
