Good Bye Poem by Laura Carie Dalton

Good Bye

How can he be so sweet?

Yet be addicted to nicotine?

How can he claim that he’s clean,
Yet he takes a puff or two?

How can he be mine,
Yet he does drugs?

I don’t want a druggie boyfriend.

I want someone who’s clean.

Someone who loves me for who I am.

He’s not the one for me.

He tried and failed.

I’ll miss him some.

I’m hurt again.

That’s the third strike.

No more chances.

I still want to be friends,
Just not lovers.

Goodbye and good luck baby.

Goodbye.
