Good Friday Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Good Friday

Darkness falls, a heavy shroud,
Lies and whispers, spoken loud.
A cross is raised, a life laid down,
In sorrow's grip, the world is drowned.

But from the pain, a light will gleam,
A promise whispered, like a dream.
For Jesus said, 'The Truth I AM, '
A pathway built, a guiding plan.

Though shadows cling, and fears may rise,
Truth's gentle voice forever cries.
He broke the chains, He set us free,
To live in light, eternally.

So let us trust, and let us pray,
For Truth's bright dawn will light the way.
And in the end, as it must be,
Truth conquers all, for all to see.
