Good Heart Poem by Diogo Cosmo

Good Heart

Believe me,
That it's from the bottom of my heart
That I tell you
If you save a soul,
Even if it's just one,
Out of a billion or a trillion,
Your mission will never
Been in vain.

Believe me, at night
When you get ready for bed

And gently lay
Your head on the pillow.

And after a long breath,
Until you're exhausted,
All the air inside you,
As if expelling
All the tiredness of the day,
And after a short sigh,
With your eyes fixed
On the ceiling of your room,
You'll see a firmament of stars,
Made of shining eyes,
That you made that night.

You'll certainly have
A smile on your lips,
With the photograph still alive,
In your gaze,
Of all those eyes,
Now sparkling.

You'll say quietly to yourself,
Thank you God...
‘Mission accomplished'
