Good Times Poem by Marilyn Lott

Good Times

Some of the best times of my life
Are spent right close to home
For you see, I don’t have to go far
To find exciting places to roam

Cooling lake with rolling lawns
A sparkling fountain to beautify
Lovely trees add to the scene
I’m happy and you can see why

And the flowers, so very pretty
Every color you could think of
What a wonderful time of year
In summer with the blue sky above

I have places at my fingertips
Where I can watch the sun set
What an amazing time it is
What peacefulness I get

And then the early mornings
Oh, what beauty in the sunrise
Yes, I don’t have to go very far
Each day is a delicious surprise!
