Goodbye

I'm a dreamer
Living with my head in the clouds
For so long I was fooling myself
Thinking that you were the piece missing
From my puzzle.
I never say the end,
I only saw your smile.
Love is blind they say
My heart was blinded by you...
Goodbye my lover,
Goodbye my friend.

I'm a dreamer
And when you leave
It's my dreams you take
You stopped my heart
You touched my soul
You changed my life.
Love is blind,
I thought i knew it.
Goodbye my lover,
Goodbye my friend.

Hollow, so empty,
Disbelieving this saying of goodbye.
I try to let you go
Only to find you still in my dreams,
Still in my heart.
I never saw the end,
I only saw you.
I've kissed your lips,
I've held your hand,
I have shared your dreams
And shared your bed.
I have been addicted to you.
Goodbye my lover,
Goodbye my friend.

I've held you when you cried
I've relished in your smile,
I know you well.
As you move on,
Remember me,
Your lover,
Your friend.

I thought you were the one for me
Now i need to let me cry
The soul would have no rainbows
If the eyes had no tears.
Soon everything will be alright.

Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
