You always said you'd love me
You always said you'd care
Now I'm spending lonely nights wishing you were there
Nevermind, I hope it's easy for you to see
I refuse to look back on those painful memories
On all of the fights, on all of the tears
You have become one of my greatest fears
No more of your meaningless apologies
No more of your thoughtless lies
It's time for me to finally admit
It's at last my time to escape the pit
the dark pit of my demise
I've erased you from my mind
I've escaped from your powerful hold
I no longer have to be controlled
Now I know it was me who had been so blind
