Goodbye Poem by Pauline Levesque

Goodbye

I love the warmth of her skin, the touch of her hand…
When I kiss her neck, I breathe in her scent deeply….
I miss my exotic beauty…..the look she gave me…the intensity in her eyes…
I love her.

You are arrogant, cruel, self righteous and will not admit when you are wrong.
I am frustrated by your lack of humility…your lack
Of acceptance of your weaknesses and resistance to changing the way you interact with me.

You are abusive and I know you will not see that in yourself for then, you would have to look in the mirror and admit you are not in control, that you have baggage, that you can’t do it all alone that you need me and that you need.

When you are intertwined with me and our kisses are soft and hungry, I see the real you.
Vunerable, soft, kind and humble.
I can’t make you see…you don’t want to.
And now…
I have to let you go.
