Goodbye Poem by chad barnard

Goodbye

The day you left you never said goodbye.
You left me with tears in my eyes.
I didn't want to believe that you were gone.
Wishing the news was wrong.
It's hard without you here.
The day you went six feet under.
I looked down on you.
I asked you a question.
What must I do?
I looked up an saw you smiling.
You said don't worry I never left you.
You told me this is my new home.
I looked down and back up again you were gone.
I whipped my tears an smiled.
I new you would not let me down.
That was your goodbye.
Rest in peace you at home now.
