Goodbye - Poem by Gabe Florsheim

When I cried there beside you,
Could you feel me on the night you
Passed away dreaming? Cause after that evening
We miss you so

Will you hold me just like you used to,
You told me I'd never lose you
Help me find meaning outside is teeming
With midnight crows?

Oh please open up your eyes
Oh please tell me one last time
Oh please say you'll be alright
Oh please let me say goodbye

Now our table is finally quiet
Youd tell us to stop with the riots
You always told us that we need to learn
How to behave

The food is empty and dry
Like the tears that swell in my eyes
Atleast if we try we know you would have liked
That we be brave

Oh please open up your eyes
Oh please tell me one last time
Oh please say you'll be alright
Oh please let me say goodbye

Sand is slipping through our fingers as the time goes by
It falls into the beach below where it was meant to lie
You are not alone oh
You are never gone oh

Oh please you've opened up my eyes
Oh please I'll tell you this time
Oh please you will be alright
Oh please you helped me find the light

Oh please thank you for your life
Oh please we don't have to cry
Oh please I know you'll be fine
Oh please because this is goodbye

Again, these are song lyrics
