Ekundayo Oluwaseyi

Goodbye - Poem by Ekundayo Oluwaseyi

I tried to stop the flow of those seven letter word,
But now i know its time has come,

The little children heard dad say it, and they cried,
The older children heard it, and they feel sorrowful

But i heard it and know its time has come,

The wife heard it and feel terrible,
The husband heard it and feel sad

But i heard it, and feel its the right word for the moment,

Because there's time for everything,
Rain for autumn, sun for summer, and snow for winter,

And the seven letter word for the moment,
Goodbye.
