Goodbye Poem by Louie Thompson

Goodbye

All I ever do anymore
is want to cry.
All because of you
and our last goodbye.

You said you were leaving
and this time for good.
So I told you to do it,
because I didn't think you would.

So you kissed my cheek
and said goodbye.
Then you turned and walked away
but I didn't know why.

So I ran after you
and grabbed your hand.
Then you turned and kissed me
and said this was too hard to stand.

You held me in your arms
till the sun went to sleep.
Then you looked at me and said
'My feelings are just to deep.'

So you took my hand
and walked me to my car
And said right to my face
I love exactly how you are.

You kissed me again
but this time was the last
I don't know how this is happening
since we've had such a great past.

You told me it wasn't
anything I did wrong
It was our hearts,
they just weren't singing the same song.

One lonely tear
strolled down my face.
And I knew in my heart,
no one could ever take your place.
