How It Has To Be Poem by Louie Thompson

How It Has To Be

I'm giving up,
I can't take this anymore.
I can't even remember
what I'm fighting for.

My head is so full
of all your stories and lies,
I don't want to take this
So I'm saying goodbye.

I see you with her
and it's too much for me
So I'm giving up on you
and this is how it's going to be

No more phone calls
and no more seeing you.
Even though it's hard
this is something i have to do

Don't look at me and smile
or brush up against me side
This was brought on by you
Believe me, I've tried

This is all your fault
and none of it is mine
The fact that you love her more
is just another sign

So when I see you
I'll look and wave,
while inside I'll be secretly hoping
that you'll be mine again someday.
