I'm walking away slow,
dying with each step I
take.
Remembering our memories,
with tears streaming
down my face.
I'm losing my breath with
each minute that goes,
disconnected from you, the
pain grows and grows.
If I could live another
day, to make the pain all
go away, I'd live my life
with you in the most
special way.
I'll always love you and
care, but you know I have
to go.
Maybe I'll be back someday,
to fall into your arms,
to feel that warm welcome
hug that I've missed for
so long.
I know you want me to stay,
but it just can't be that
way.
Goodbye for now my love,
I'll keep you with me
always.
