Goodnight Princess, rest your head go to sleep
For over you I'll watch, to protect you while you dream
As you twitch and turn and smile, I feel joy
Such a precious treasure I have found

You fill a hole I didn't know I had
And taught me things that can't be untaugh
You fill my days with light and peace
And like Spring make everything new again

When you come you bring the sun
But when you go the sun still stays
For no matter where you are
You light up my entire day
