Grandfather Poem by Muhammad Shanazar

Grandfather

Time passes on
Silent imperceptibly,
A man quite young and juvenile
Becomes old
Just like a clock
Hanging on the wall of a sitting room,
Or like a bicycle
With punctured tyres,
Rusty,
With tattered seat,
And without chain,
Which neither can be cast away,
Nor we can retain.
