Grandma Nora Poem by Lori Christensen

Grandma Nora

She started with a wail
She left with a sigh
And between the two
She touched all of our lives.

Born in Oklahoma
Traveled to the West,
In a covered wagon
She found no rest.

She had nine children
All of them her own
Tradgey was no stranger
And cuts to the bone

Throughout her long life
She remained strong
Raised seven children
Carrying on all along

She was always welcoming
A smile freely given
She taught all that knew her
That life was worth living.

Her legacy is here
In the lives we each live
We carry her forward
Our hearts we do give.
