Grant Me Another Day Poem by Gene Simia

Grant Me Another Day

Rating: 5.0

I live to see another day
for which I'm grateful still,
My eyes though old, my body weak
My spirit it cannot kill.

The mystery of life grows every day
I penetrate its source,
The expanding universe grows larger still,
On a chart without a course.

To grasp a hint of this wondrous plan
I look no further than those,
Who would find true joy in the eyes of a child,
In the sudden glance of a rose.

In awe and wonder with a starry gaze
Vast oceans of Beauty seep through,
Give meaning to a questioning soul
To the heart, something anew.
