Gravity Poem by Briony Brosnan

Gravity

Rating: 5.0

For my best friend. We made it this far and things can only get better.

I don’t know you but I see you.
You don’t belong to me, but I need you.
I need a hand to hold in mine,
A voice to whisper, that it will all be fine.

We aren’t real friends but I know your name,
We’re almost there but it isn’t the same.
You offer comfort whenever tears flow,
It’s only politeness, but it’s nice to know.

I dream at night, yes I dream in my bed,
Visions of you and me run through my head.
We talk for hours, the best of friends,
I awaken slowly and the dreaming ends.

We walk together, we smile and talk,
A life times friendship in a moments walk.
A simple understanding, that’s complex to see,
Just two girls in their own world, my best friend and Me.
