Gravyard Poem by AmAnDa GoNzAleZ

Gravyard

Rating: 4.5

What would I do to make you see?
I went for a walk around 10 last night
I couldn’t help but think
How much she controlled me even when were miles apart
Then to the graveyard where I heard their cry’s echoing to me
I ran and ran but they didn’t get any further
I screamed and screamed shell hurt me
What would it take for you to understand?

I sat a decided to have a chat
I spoke to the 7 year old girl whos daddy raped and beat her
All because she didn’t do the dished on time
I spoke to the 8 year old boy.
Whose mommy shoved him into the tub with boiling hot water..
All because she didn’t have the Bacardi by her side

All of god’s children spoke to me
Even the ones who weren’t conceived
They told me to speak
So they wouldn’t die in pain
Let us reclaim the life that was taken leaving a
Degrading blood stain!
