Greater Love Poem by odunayo Ishola

Greater Love

You saved me, dilevered me
You even died on a tree
just for me

And in return i betrayed you
Not one time, not two
Over and Over i turned from you

Yet youy still love me
with all my wretched ways
and all my sinful days
You still love me

You said in your word
You'll never leave me nor will u forsake me
But may times i've left you
I have forsaken you

Yet you call me your child
Even when i have gone wild
You gave your perfect son
For a wretch like me

What kind of love is this
the one that doesnt care how one is

You loved me
I hated you
You still loved me

Like the prodigal
u recived me like more than a pal

ANd though i am a bit late
I know i love you
And no matter the date
You still love me
With your greaer love.
