The earth is green the sky is blue
I saw and heard one sunny morn
A sky lark hanging between the two
A singing speck, above the corn
A stage below, in gay accord
White butterflies dance on there wings
And till the singing sky lark soared
And silent sank and soared to sing
The corn field stretched a tender green
The right the left besides I walk
I knew he had a nest unstitched
Somewhere going the million stalks
And I went to hear this song
While swift the sunny moments
Stid, perhaps this mate sad listening long
And listened longer than I did.
