Grey May Poem by Michele Hegarty

Grey May

Grey May, Damp Day
Sunney in my heart, where it counts
Resonances of Birdsong
Multi Shades of Green
Soft explosions of colour
Golden Dog snuffles and bustles,
ignores tiny rabbits,
follows fox scent,
I hope there's no mixing with his
Later, Planning, Banter, Customer Care, chat, check, make
Lunch of tasty left overs, cooked with love.
Contact with far flung friends,
Thank Bill, or who? for instant letters.
Later still, curry, laughter, support at times,
the varied, lovely gang.
My room, precious items new and aged.
A real life,
A great life,
My thanks disappear above.
