Grilled Cheese Poem by Hanna Lara

Grilled Cheese

Rating: 5.0

It started with a simple order
To someone whose on the counter
Asking for a grilled cheese
And smiled as I said please

Finding a place to sit with
I saw someone who's familiar to me
A person whom I love the most
And the craziest that I know

I wanted to say 'hi'
But hesitated for I was shy
I don't know why I felt that way
For me to ignore and passed you by

Maybe because I saw you unexpectedly
And never thought that I will see you here
For we've never seen each other for years
Since the day you left me

A chance meeting with an old friend after a big gap nicely articulated. Thanks.
